First Presbyterian School is dedicated to maximizing the creative, professional and academic potential of each student. Classes are deliberately kept small to ensure academic excellence for each of the school's students. Faculty members are carefully selected from leading universities throughout the United States , many of whom have studied abroad as well as in the United States . The faculty prides itself on acquiring superior teaching techniques, as well as pursuing innovative curriculum development methods. Additionally, they maintain an active rapport with the schools from which they have graduated serving as liaisons to students who wish to attend the same schools.

First Presbyterian School is nondiscriminatory in its admissions policies. Due to the accelerated program that is offered, however, all families are required to sign a Compliance Agreement to better ensure the student's scholastic success. Questionnaires and special achievement letters are frequently sent to parents, copies of which are placed into each student's university admissions portfolio. When the student is ready for college, certified copies of the school transcripts are forwarded to the desired campuses, along with letters of recommendation from faculty and staff. Each student's portfolio includes samples of superior work and records of community service projects as required prior to graduation from First Presbyterian School . |
